2nd Alumni Meet Feb 27,28 -2010

The ‘Deepam’- glowing lamp symbolises the wisdom in its prestine form. The wisdom of Light that originates from the Deepam keeps the ignorance of darkness at bay. The interpretations of light and darkness can be made in many ways and the list goes on….

The 'Pramida’- made of terracotta signifies its down to earth humble origin, originality, simplicity and its traditional, rural touch symbolises the background of students and the five wicks represent the five districts of Andhra Pradesh - Anantapur, Chittoor, Kadapa, Kurnool and Nellore from where the students are hand picked based on their merit.

The big flame in the center represents the ‘Guru’ and the multiple sub flames the 'Sishyas' of the 'Gurukulam’. The knowledge acquired from the Guru of this school shall further disseminate through Sishyas to the society. In the process each sub flame shall become a big flame and create in turn several such sub flames by way of distributing the knowledge. The warmth of the lamp is the warmth that the Sishya gets from the Guru. The students who have excelled in their respective professions shall share their experiences and give career guidance to their juniors. This process of Guru–Sishya parampara shall go-on for the creation of a happy Society, Nation, World, Planet and the Universe for which the very purpose of the school is set and thus the slogan “VELUGU…VELUGINCHU”
