Dear all,

 

We were all very fortunate to get free education (some might got till PG/Graduation+2), without a major financial burden to our parents. But now if you look at majority of the society- it's getting dearer day to day. But fortunately we got RTE(Right to Education) back into system to keep education on  track. At this juncture - how it is going to be useful and how effective it is going to be? What we want to hear from you is that - so far you are all have seen the education system in different parts of the world, which is the best way to improve our Indian education system?

All your thoughts/ideas/suggestions/innovative/everything is welcome over here.

Eka...Good to initiate the right topic as the subject of discussion among the group.I do apreciate your context.

Present Indian education system doesn't allow the peeple to utilise and imply the knowledge that was acquired through the subjects what they were taught at the primary and secondary educational platforms in a much more practical way.And especially, the curriculum what the children are having at present,doesn't really support the present requirements of the financial system which is very much essential in the lives.The education system what we are having right now can not create and mould specific individualities of the children,which are indeed necessary for the personal development of them in their future lives to lead a pleasant as well as a comfortable state of well-beingness.

For example...None frankly teaches us how to make money out of all the given resources, at the basic education system stages.Infact,when we speak logically,MONEY plays a vital role in whole of this world...Instead,at the later stages of life,a person would be learning this funda by his own personal experiences,how to have a firm grip over his finances and the necessary means and ways of maintaining them to the utmost levels. Ofcourse...money is not the penultimate issue,but still it has its own identity in this fast moving modern world.Isn't it...? Do you all agree with me on this particular point...right...?

This is my opinion and others may object to this personal phenomenon of mine.I have quoted this example just to start the discussion among the group.

I would like to welcome others' ideas too.

Friends..you can share and suggest the possible ways that can be implemented in our Indian education system to bring the required improvements..
Money should be by product .. if you think how to earn money should be included in curriculum, you can more no. small Dawood's at school level itself .. ( see Financial freedom in western countries creating distance between children and parents )

Madhava, Please note the point what Chandu Said is -"create and mould specific individualities of the children, which are indeed necessary for the personal development of them in their future lives to lead ", Based on this he explained example. Here we have to consider this - application knowledge is more important, instead of theoretical knowledge.
Money matters here are not only earning - but as a kid one should aware of what exactly it mean. How exactly it shapes life. What are the precautionary one need to think. For example in western society - school going kids starts fund raising activities. Point here is - they don't do any mesh up with the fund they collected. One way or other way it makes them to learn - how tough to get money. So it makes them - to respect each penny they are spending and at the same time they will define their GOAL at the small age itself. We have lot of examples from US that even school dropout can create history there. But here - it's possible, but it is not easy. That means here in our system - he/she will indulge with corruption by seeing others. Basically we need value based, application based education in our System.

Madhava..we always see only one side of the coin. When you toss it up..you really can't see or say whether it would be heads or tails. May be,our guesses would be correct sometimes to certain extents based on the Probability theorm..,but not everytime.

What i tried to convey to all of us in my last message was...our education system gives us the required tacks (basic principles & matters) theoritically, but the other side of the coin (practicality) is never covered.It is never taught to us directly how to have the authentic utilisation of the knowledge what we have acquired .

My suggestion is..the curriculum at primary and secondary levels of education should be covered with atleast some little hints,ways and means that really teach us how to earn money in a logical way yet in a just (right & fair) way...

Also,the best possible ways that teach us how to earn,save,protect our finances, and finally...how to control,shape,maintain,reshape,accumulate and to multifold the amounts what you have hard-earned in a strategic way..,should be taught compulsorily so that a country's economy grows and touches the enormous heights.

Any more suggestions...?

I want to thank you Madhava and Chandu, for their active participation. I'm closing this with a hope that - The day is not far away'. Because everybody wants good education into the system, but at the same time we are not bothering what does it mean, how to take care of getting that into the system. ‘Revolution is always with the time'.
